As you would expect, as a small company that is anti-greenwashing and has sustainability as a core value, we do take all elements of how we pack orders very seriously. In this instance, we used corn-based bio-degradable 'packing peanuts' to fill our parcels. These are fully compostable and actually disintegrate quickly when wet; if you would like to check this out, you can hold a packing peanut under a running tap, and you will see it disintegrate.

There are a few ways that these peanuts can be disposed of: 
1) Simply place in your own garden, and they will biodegrade 
2) In a wormery where they will be broken down
3) In a municipal food waste bin collected by your local council
4) In general waste, waste will biodegrade quickly and safely in landfills

We assure you that every practical effort is made to minimise waste and provide recycled and recyclable packaging, and we are constantly reviewing what more we can do and working with our packaging suppliers on new sustainable packaging innovations.
